it is a tasty SNACK May 13, 2010 Lucy I have read some of the previous reviews. and as everyone says it does taste like a Butter Finger. I also notice alot of comments on the size, and price of the bars, and that it would be better it just buy butterfingers instead. I have to say that this would be true if all you were looking at was the taste and price. It is a diet snack, so already it is going to be higher priced then a candy bar. so if all you are looking for is something to munch on you should go with the candy bar. however the slim fast bar isn't just about the calories. although the snack does have a low calorie count to help your diet it also has vitamins and minerals, which the butter finger does not. This is what makes it better for those who want to stick to the slim fast diet to help them lose weight. A butter finger may be cheaper, but it doesn't have the nutrients that you need for you body to function properly while on a diet. Probably to lower the calories the bar is somewhat small, but no one is suggesting it is a meal. since you are most likely on a diet when you are eating this you want to cut back on portion sizes anyways. I would highly recommend this product because of the taste, and its nutritional value. However if you want something substantial to eat this product (and a diet) are probably not for you.
DIET CANDY March 25, 2010 Lori Everson (baltimore, md) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
this product is very tasty. The problem is it leaves me wanting more candy instead of satifying a craving.
Tastes great, but do the math....... March 25, 2010 Adrian Ford (Houston, TX USA) These bars are very tasty indeed, peanut-buttery, crispety and crunchety, just like the real thing. But at $4 a box (with tax), you'll do better buying an 8-pack fun size of the original version, which costs only $1, and has almost the same amount of calories and nutritional value PER BAR. (In fact, the original version beats SlimFast on sodium and carbs. Go to the website, I checked.) That's $3 worth of savings, without sacrificing a sweet treat. Of course, if vitamin enrichment is a concern for you, SlimFast has the other brand beat here. I guess that's why they cost so much. I say take a vitamin supplement (which you should be doing already, anyway) and ditch these.
Just like the real thing January 30, 2010 Christopher Powell (Ohio) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The peanut butter crunch was smaller than I expected, resembling a peanut brittle snack.
Hard like peanut brittle, and taste was indistinguishable from peanut brittle.
If that's what you like, you wont be discouraged.

I thought these bars were very small although tasty. Similar to a Butter Finger Bar in taste, they were quite small and did not seem to satisfy the candy urge. I would not call them anything special, sorry. I just think if you are on a diet, you would be better off not having these as they just left me wanting more! Better to just skip the desert tray altogether.
